Department of Operation Theatre
State of art OT suites with the following facilities Waiting room for patients, Pre-anesthetic/preparation room, Post-operative recovery room, Soiled Linen room, Instrument room. Sterilization room. Nurses rooms, Surgeon’s and Anesthetist’s room, Assistant’s room, Store rooms, Washing room for Surgeons and Assistants and Students washing up and dressing up room.
The Department of Operation Theatre at PKDIMS teaches Operation Theatre Unit to MBBS students in their first year, with teaching consisting of lectures plus practical classes in the Operation Theatre dissection hall and laboratory.
Marked areas for General Surgery, ENT, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynecology and for septic cases.
Skills
At the end of the course the student shall be able to:
- Identify and locate all the structures of the body and mark the topography of the living anatomy.

GOAL
The broad goal of teaching of undergraduate students in Anatomy aims at providing a comprehensive knowledge of the gross and microscopic structure and development of human body, which will serve as a basis for understanding the clinical correlation of organs or structures involved and the anatomical basis for the disease presentations.
Integration
- By integrated teaching with other Preclinical,Paraclinical and clinicalsubjects students shall be able to comprehend the regulation and integration of the functions of the organs and systems in the body and thus interpret the anatomical basis of disease process.
