Das the founder chairman of the Nehru College of Educational and Charitable Trust. The conglomeration of Institutions now called as Nehru Group of Institutions have been creating benchmark in the field of education and now in Medical education as well.

After the successful starting of first MBBS batch, The able and efficient team under the Principal of the Medical College has been successful in planning and fine-tuning the entire requirement for second MBBS batch 2015-2016.
The Vision of the college is to emerge into the most reputed and sought after Medical College by end of 2020 in research, medical education and excellence in patient care. It also envisions and aims to educate leaders of medical profession in patient centered, science driven, and team based high value health care. The Mission has been carved with a clear objective to surface into national leaders in the education and development of the next generation of doctors, nurses and paramedics.
It also aims to attract medical professionals, teachers and Researchers of eminence and to develop centers of excellence in all specialties, empower and support students and faculty to realize their passion for discovery, healing, health and life and to improve the lives of the people and make a notable difference thereby contributing to the progress of this nation.
