Admission Procedure & Eligibility

MBBS Course :
a) The MBBS course is a four and half year period followed by one year compulsory rotating medical internship. The 12-month internship includes rotations in Community health, Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Child health, Orthopedics, Emergency medicine and various specialties. All these are according to the guidelines of National Medical Commission of India. Admission to the MBBS Programme is based on the candidate marks obtained in the NEET-UG rank held by the National Testing Agency (NTA). -
b) Eligibility: 17 years of age or above as on 31st December'2021 of the admission year. The maximum age limit to Study MBBS Course is 25 years. (However, as per SLP (C) No. 14320/2018 and vide interim order dated 29.11.2018, candidates older than 25 years were allowed to appear in the Medical Entrance Test provisionally).
All Higher Secondary School students with 10+2 in science stream including biology or biotechnology along with Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible.(In ca e of SC/ST 40% in board examinations, 45% for OBC Category). -
Admission Procedure :
It is compulsory for medical enthusiasts' to appear for the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NAT) after 12th grade who wish to get MBBS admission. -
Admission Quota of PKDIMS :
Merit Seats: 85% and NRI Seats: 15%. -

1.) Library :
PKDIMS Central Library has all the latest and updated Medical Books essential for UG and PG students. National Library of Medicine Classification System is used to classify the books. Journal Section contains National and International Journals including e-journals. Through web portal IP address bases e journals can be accessed only from the campus for full text view. Issuance of Journals are restricted. Volumes completed are bound and given for reading. It is functioning in an A/C room. Doctors and Students are permitted to download materials and write on CD's for study purpose. - 2.)There are two types of reading rooms. In the reading room, where Library books are kept, staff and students are not allowed to bring their books, they can only read library book. In the other reading room they can use their own books for study purpose.

3.) Lecture Halls :
PKDIMS has Six Lecture Theaters. Out of these, Five Theaters are used by Medical College and another one is used by Hospital. In that, Medical College Theaters having 300 seating capacity. All the six Lecture Theatres are Air Conditioned and having LCD Projectors and LAN facility. Departmental Demo Rooms are having Benq Interactive Panels. -
4.) Examination Halls :
PKDIMS having two examination halls with a seating capacity of 350 each. This area can be used as auditorium for various purposes. These halls are air-conditioned and well equipped with Mobile Jammers and CCTV Cameras as per KUHS regulations.

Hostel :
Separate Hostels are available for Girls and Boys inside the Campus. There are 198 Rooms and 282 Rooms available for the Boys and Girls respectively. Drinking water is available in both the hostels. Daily cleaning is being carried out and hygiene of the Hostels and surrounding areas maintained. Strict Hostel rules were framed on the light of the provisions contained in the ordinance of KUHS for the safety and security of our students. The best food is also being served to the students considering their opinion also.
Residential Quarters are also available for teaching staff with their families. These faculties are available at campus to extend full support and providing the best education to our students. -
Recreational Facilities :
Recreation Rooms, Gym, Playing ground for Football, basketball, Shuttle Badminton, Cricket etc., are available in the hostels and its nearby areas. Regular sports activities are also being carried out. The Institution is having good football team and our students are part of the University Athletics Team. -
Affiliated Hospitals :
The affiliated Hospital i.e. P.K. DAS Institute of Medical Sciences is having 22 Departments including Emergency Medicine. Super Specialties of Cardiology, Neplu-ology, Urology, Medical Gastroenterology, Neurology, Neuro Surgery, Endocrinology, Surgical Gastro Enterology, Hematology etc., are also available in the Hospital. The Hospital is a 900 bedded hospital.
